Day by Day Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to Hotel

Namaste! Welcome to Kathmandu, the capital town of Nepal

Upon arrival, our Nepal Adventure Travel (NAT) representative will welcome you at the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) and drive you to the hotel.

The hotel in Kathmandu is about 30 minutes’ drive from the airport.

No activities are planned today, so you can explore the hotel vicinity, or head out to Thamel – the touristic hub of the capital. This thumping area is filled with restaurants, bars, trekking gear house and books shop. You can visit around the corner and grab your first meal.

This evening the traditional welcome dinner is planned for the group for trek discussion. You can go over any questions related to the trip you have.

Day 02 : Drive to Manthali. Flight to Lukla then trek to Phakding

There is a change in flight regulations for the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. So, the flight to Lukla departs from Manthali Airport in the Ramechhap district. It is a 20 minutes scenic flight from Manthali Airport to the thin airstrip of Lukla.

Our trek adventure begins with a 4-hour long drive to Manthali Airport. We leave Kathmandu during the night to catch the early flight from Manthali. Then, we fly to the mountain airstrip of Lukla which is the gateway of the Solu-Khumbu region. During good weather conditions, the window views of such small plane provides a breathtaking views of mountain vistas.

At Lukla, we enjoy breakfast, meet our team, gear up, and set off on a gentle half-day trek to Phakding (2610m).

The hike follows a riverside trail downhill through the Dudh Kosi Valley, passing through picturesque Sherpa villages, suspension bridges, and colorful prayer flags. The trail offers the stunning views of lush forest and the surrounding mountains en route to your first overnight in Phakding.

Total ascent: 594ft (181m); total descent: 1,280ft (390m)

Day 03 : Trek to Namche

It’s time for a short break here in Namche. We take today off to relax and acclimatize after the significant gain in altitude from yesterday.

Day 05: Trek to Tengboche

  • Trekking accommodation in Teahouse during the trek (twin sharing room) on full board basis- 3 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
  • Experienced English Speaking, government licensed guide and a porter and all their expenses during the trek like his transfer, insurance, salary, meals and accommodation (porter will carry max. 20 kg luggage)
